This is not a résumé. It’s a remembering.
Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
Being Human: A Soulful Presence Since 2013
This space was born from a quiet longing—for honesty, for softness, for a life that doesn’t demand we perform our worth. If you’ve ever felt like you’re holding it all together on the outside while slowly unraveling within, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too.
Through these writings, I explore what it means to reclaim ourselves: to live in alignment rather than exhaustion, to receive instead of endlessly give, and to remember that vulnerability is not weakness, but a deep kind of wisdom.
For over a decade, my work has unfolded in many forms. Since 2011, I’ve been rooted in the recovery field—holding space in group therapy, facilitating shadow work, and sharing psychotherapeutic practices within established and respected rehabilitation facilities across multiple fields, including 12-Step programs like AA, NA, and CoDA. I hold a BA (Hons) in Health & Applied Social Sciences and an HND in Mental Health. I’ve walked alongside others in the tender work of healing and remembering.
“Healing isn’t a path I learned from books. It’s a path I’ve walked barefoot, learning to pause, to listen, and to unfold.”
In 2013, Being Human quietly came to life as an online home for reflection. For years it lingered softly—more seed than bloom—until the unfolding of 2025, when I began sharing more fully. What began as whispers is now a gathering space for souls who long for stories in a world that asks us to harden.
This space is not about fixing. It’s about remembering.
What if I stop proving myself—and simply come home to who I am?
Here, we don’t teach from above—we walk beside. This is a shared unfolding. A quiet conversation between souls who sense that being human is both a heartbreak and a miracle—and that somehow, even in the mess, there is meaning.
Come as you are, you’re welcome here. In your questions, your becoming, your breath
Let us unfold, together.
With warmth and wonder,
Ashé | Being Human
